TEKB,
in line with its basic strategy, develops projects to enable pharmacists
who are members of cooperatives to become the preferred health
units by offering new products and services. That is, it aims at
encouraging people to consult pharmacists about herbal medicines
and teas as well, an issue which becomes more important each day.
TEKB also executes a comprehensive project comprising education,
product choice and promotion.
Pharmacists who are qualified and indispensible health consultants
in pharmaceuticals are members of the sole occupation that includes
training on medical plants, drogs and phytotherapeutics in general.
They are the only people who can save medical teas and natural
drugs from unqualified hands, and enable us to benefit from the
plants in a scientific way.
The pharmacist cooperatives base their work on tea recipes used
in Germany, the leading country of the European Union with regard
to pharmacy and medicine, and other developed countries. Together
with member pharmacists, they have the responsibility of providing
healthy and correct products to people, and support all programs
that will redefine the role of pharmacists as “consultants in medical
teas and herbal drugs.”
Herbal teas (medical teas) are mixtures prepared by using certain
parts of plants according to specific rules. These plants can solve
health problems such as cold, indigestion, constipation, diarrhea,
fatigue and insomnia. On the other hand, herbal drugs (natural
drugs) are prepared with extracts and essences obtained from plants
which have been examined for their active ingredients and effects.
They are used as supportive and protective drugs to cure daily
ailments.
Important!
- Do not use herbal drugs without consulting your doctor and
pharmacist.
- If you take certain drugs regularly, ask your pharmacist about
the type of herbal tea you should use, and how many cups a day
and when you should drink.
- If you want to benefit from herbal extracts, essences and oils,
consult a pharmacist educated in active ingredients, effects,
usage and side effects of plants.
